- Assess one’s own culture and self-reflect on your own bias in the context of systemic racism
- Value diversity (including, but not limited to: intersectionality, LGBTQ+, disability, and various nationality communities)

Recognizing One’s Own Culture
(Values, norms, expectations)
- When was the last time you had to think about you identity?
- When watching TV or a movie, how likely are you to watch shows whose characters reflect your identity?
- How diverse is your social media feed?
- How diverse is the community in which you live?
- How do you feel when you are in a community that is different from your neighborhood?
- if you recognize you privilege, what did you do with this realization?
- How do I ensure that my classroom practices are equitable?
- How do I differentiate instruction to support different learners I teach?
- How am I considering culture and context in my instruction?
- Who is receiving my labeled praise?
- Do I regularly self-assess my cultural biases?
- Am I seeking opportunities to learn how to develop cultural humility?
- Are all students in my classroom represented in my classroom art and decorations?
- How do I respond when others in my school or classroom are treated differently based on their identity? Do I have a plan ahead of time?
